Religion in the village of Khan Krum

The history of church work (religion) in the village of Khan Krum is not rich. There was no church in the village. The elderly people say that they used the classroom in the school in Gançoolu's house, and on major holidays the worshipers from the village went to church in the village of Osmar. Later, they began to use the school in Kolyo Dimitrov's yard as a church - the old school, and after the construction of the new one - one of its rooms.

As the population grew, so did the need to build a church.

Construction began in the spring of 1938 during the mayor Zori Mitev. The master craftsman was Bai Donko from the Dryanovsk region, and the first stone in the foundations was laid by Bogomil Simeonov Nedev, a general worker with the Bogomolist name "Bogomil" (according to tradition). The entire population of the village takes an active part without violence, with enthusiasm in this useful work for them - who can with what they can. The funds from the parties, lazaring and caroling went to the construction.

"Holy Trinity" Church

The wealthy people of that time, Georgi Valchev and Kostadin Benev, also made a donation (money). Yordan Slavov procures and donates all construction materials - bricks, bricks, timber, etc. Ordinary people of Khankrumiv help with labor and free transportation. The church was solemnly consecrated in 1947 to the Khan Krum congregation "Holy Spirit". They call it the "Holy Trinity".

But the laity of the village still had a lot of work to do - external plastering, the thorn hedge had to be replaced with a solid fence as it looks, the wooden gates - to be replaced with iron ones.

The temple has been renovated several times.

In 1968, the initiative committee was headed by Dimitar Zorev.

In 1996, on the initiative of the then mayor of the village, Bancho Chernev, an organizing committee was created to repair the holy building, whose wooden roof was destroyed. With the help of many donors, today the church has a concrete roof and stained glass windows. Funds for the repair were provided by "Black Sea Highways", "Water Industry", "Tobacco Industry", the president of the company "Elit", Iliya Popov, Boyan and Dimitar Savovi, as well as many other benevolent Christians.
